What boots do y'all wear on the road? Obviously they need to be oil resistant and durable. Just looked at my trusty ol' pair of boots and I realized I need to get 'em replaced before I hit the road. They're in pretty bad shape!
Comfy boots

Good evening
I am a landscape construction foreman, and i encounter all types of situations (rain, snow, heat, and so forth) almost same stuff truckers go through. I use a pair of mid heigth Catepillar steel toe work boots, they wear really nice, and hold up to most anything thrown at them. Can be had for about 100.00- you could also go the Red Wing way and spend close to 200-250.00 steel toes are ok for when out of the truck but when driving, id prefer something not quite so heavy on the foot
thanks

sure fit and feel nice though.... -
Since I haul carpet steel tips are not needed
I have had so many different ones
But timberlands are the best by far!!!!!!

I like pull on boots with some heel, I wear Red Wings because of the fit, my foot is narrow.

Hrm.. I guess my el-cheapo tennies don't really count, do they? But we're no-touch, so dropping 500 pounds of frozen knockwurst, or 450 pounds of .. well.. just about anything... on my foot is rather unlikely.
When I do wear boots, though, I hit up army surplus. I dunno if it's simply that they fit my feet better, or that I wore them so long they just seem that way. -
Get mine made by Danner, a boot maker in Portland.

If you are ever in Portland, Oregon, try and stop by the Danner store. They sale their 2nd's and discontinued boots at a WAY reduced price.
They also make other "name brand" shoes for different companies. I have a pair of steel toed "LaCrosse" (made by Danner) that are probally the most comfortable work shoe I have ever owned. Got em for $35.00 at the Danner store.
It has fairly easy access off of I-205 in Portland, on Airport Way which is mostly an industrial area, shouldn't be too hard to find parking close by.
