I had heard 15k for replace
-
I own mine 4 years, took from 700k to over a million now.I stay regional and SE in the spring.
Twice at dealership.
First time scheduled visit, replaced whole cooling package, CAC,hoses etc,
no complaints beside wrong coolant filter (or rather dummy one since I changed to extended fluid) which was replaced promptly.
Second time turbo blow up, towed to dealer, everything dandy till they send me estimate of repair.
They wanted 2x or 3x (can't find it now) for turbo itself.Since truck was apart, I went to different dealer, bought myself and bring to them.Saw light in eyes look, heard "You will have problem with warranty" bla bla BS.Got truck back, 2 years now, no problems.M and K in Kalamazoo MI.
Parts usually I order thru local Mack dealer, they have Volvo too just not my location.I live 14 miles from them.Or stop by on the way to WI.Many of my loads originate there. -
Volvo used to have detroit 12.7 before freightliner (diamler jerks) bought detroit engines.

Preemission one.

Yeah..series 60 awesome engine
-
What problems did you have on your cummins isx??
-
Liners and cam replaced from carbon buildup. Radiator Crack and half and replaced (diamler product). Starter went out at 105k. Wiring, doc, and DPF replaced on aftertreat (just had that done 2 weeks ago).
-
Just talked to another team the other day that had a 2012 Pete with isx and had exactly same problems over the past year
-
Sounds like nightmare. I know before 2014 isx had problems with fuel pump ceramic plungers , which ruined engine. Im curious what causes carbon built up in liners?
