I-10 east near houston student will be getting us all the way to Jacksonville monday so all I have to do is relax. Just thought I'd take it easy this week after last week should end this week with a little over 4000 miles. Then home next Sunday for vacation. Taking the kiddos to Disney world.

At the T/A at the I-77/81 split in VA.

Delivered to the little farm in Fancy Pants, VA this morning. The exit was the first one after climbing the mountain on I-77N at the NC/VA border. Once off the freeway it was a slow crawl up the several miles of steep, twisty and narrow little back roads to get there. It was worth it though..great scenery and good smelling air. A couple good ole Boys had me unloaded pretty quick.

Went to get dispatched to Dandridge TN to give away my trailer to Bush's and sure enough they had me on a maint hold for the B-Serv so no dispatch. For the past 10 days or so I've been pestering these clowns, while loaded, to get me into a terminal but NO the load has to be delivered. Passed OKC, Memphis and Decatur.

These idiots from some ECT (not Houston) expected me to just sit out in the hills and wait for SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE to make a #### decision.
As if!! I told them NO, I'm outta here and going 30 miles over to Wytheville VA to the T/A, and civilization, and you can get back to me whenever. They wanted to keep discussing it and I just said CYA and left.
My weekend was pretty much shot now because of this crap so I didn't really care about talking about it any further with them. After parking I sent a Mac55 to OnRoad saying I need a B-Serv so make your move and went and had breakfast and took a nap. Six hours later OnRoad says roll to Greer. Whatever!! I'm done for the day because the traffic is insane and I barely have enough time left to get there. I'll get there when I get there Sunday morning just so I can sit some more.

There's no way I can stay with Swift much longer. I'm just sick of all the BS that just keeps getting worse. Only staying out the minimum time anymore, 3 weeks, as I'm continuing the process of going through interviews and more paperwork with my top 2 choices of next employers. Things are looking good for a move.

Sitting some more at Greer and disgusted.

Got here about 8:30am EST and went to the shop. Go to talk to someone impersonating a service manager and as I start to ask about a B-Serv he gets all annoyed barking that he doesn't have any mechanics and my truck might get looked at Monday afternoon..then walks off to close the shop. Who pissed in your dogfood Jack!!

Another pathetic excuse of the kind of attitudes that have become so common every where you go in Swift.

This terminal is a mess as well. Jam packed with bobtails and trailers just parked haphazardly everywhere blocking the lanes like some giant truck junk yard.

So I'm down at least 3 days to get greased. Might as well just bend over.

Eutaw, AL. Another nice long day. Received 2 pplans today and both under 250 miles for Tuesday and both to worst freight areas. The first was a live load somewhere here in GA at a container place and take to some chemical place in GA. No weight on the plan, need locks or straps or load would be refused at receiver and tanker endorsement needed. No way. That tells me real heavy and totes. Second load, Chep pallets and they say JIT to TN. I just know that when MT and Memphis planning will get some crap load, pu on Tuesday and take 700 miles for Thursday. Just going to wait until morning and see what Command might just have that has some miles and can deliver on Wednesday. Getting so tired of this

Well I finally got a load. 15 hours left on my 70.
Picks up now and is 200 miles away.
I have been sitting here for 27 hours waiting for one. I'm not going to drive 200 miles just to sit another 20+ hours to do my reset.
I'll take my reset now thank you very much. My idle % is going to be so high.. lol

Hey all!!! Just thot I'd drop by and "check in". Hope all is going well for each of you! Had a load up to Gary, IN even tho I went regional tanker with the new company. SO I'm up here waiting for a load back to Hades........er.............Houston. I've been doing well and am happy with the new company. Tankers are interesting, but the draw back is long pants, long shirt, reflective tape vest, steel toe high ankle boots and a hard hat. Thus......it's HOT!!! lol Paul and Bill hope you two are well! Sorry I've not jingled you on the phone.

    Antioch, TN.

We delivered our live unload this morning, bright and early at 0600, then headed for a Walmart and then to the TA to get a trailer brake chamber replaced.
Then I called my DM to set my PTA out until 0600 tomorrow morning. I had less than 2 hours left on my 70 and I wanted to make sure they didn't sent me a load picking up at 0200.
A couple hours later I get a message from a planner and a call from my DM asking if I could pick up a load at the same place as I just dropped off, headed right back to Miller/Coors in Elkton, VA. It was only 15 minutes away, so I had just enough time to grab it.
Damaged beer kegs one way and repaired kegs the other.

I've heard, and mind you this is from another Swiftie, he's a very good friend and one I went thru training with, but he said Greer had six owner ops walk in the other day and quit, due to no miles. He also said tractors galore at Greer. Sorry it's not going well HousTank.

Pendergrass, GA. Got to my stop this morning about 45 mins past 8 and said that sorry was a little late due to I-285 this morning, and he said late, you are about 3 hours early. Told me that he was called from the home office and let him know about the delay getting loaded and he was happy when I showed up when I did. Last night did a MAC 34 so that could change my pta for tomorrow morning and lo and behold was sent a pplan to pu today going to Fulton, MO for Wednesday. Of course plus 1 was involved showing a delivery of 0130 on the 29th so made a phone call and was told all day on the 29th and then was asked if going to go ahead and pick up today since my PTA is tomorrow so what the heck, picked it up, all of 16k of paper towel and got down here. I am beat. Can not believe that I am going to get more miles in 5 days then I do in 7 this week. Talked to Command and let them know that I am backing away from our planners and let my DM know and start to get stacked up so that can start to get miles. Not really going to care for the area that most of their freight is in, but gotta do what gotta do

Greer is not the only place. Was in Phoenix last week and plenty of tractors, mostly used from what I could see.
