I could not agree with you more...It is bad enough they will do anything to get ahead of you, like running down the break down lane, driving over cubs to get one a head of you in traffic had this happen more than once..![]()
Our trucks have been turned down to...

Arrow is 65 now and used to be 65+5. From the company standpoint 65 makes sense because it saves fuel. They could have went lower but they chose to look out for the drivers and I respect that very much. There also adding wireless internet and washer/dryers at all terminals to make up a little bit for the lower speed. I am kind of looking at this as if I was an O/O I would not go above 65 anyway because of the waste of fuel so why should a company be any different. Thanks Arrow for compromising because I think if trucks were governed any lower than 65 then I, and most other drivers would have some serious issues.

Over here at NFI we went from 65 to 63. Not to much of a difference.

Same here. I informed another driver and he said it didn't really bother him. I asked him what pay rate he was at, then informed him how much of an hourly paycut he received, and he seemed a little less enthused.

With the lanes that I run in I rarely go over 60 and that's on a good day. So cutting my truck back was really no big deal to me. -
I see. I'm on my way back to WI from Colorado. 70-75MPH limits the whole way. It affects me. I'm also on the toll roads a lot, where I can do 65 MPH. The only places I really can't do 65 is Illinois and Ohio.

I can see where that would become a problem. I run up and down I-95 from Baltimore to Maine. Every once in a while I get to go down 81 or 78. But it's mostly 95.

CRST is trying to stay at 65 for now. I imagine reality will smack them in the face in the next few months and they'll drop to 62.
My truck is set at 70. Pull Conway freight dedicated for CRST. Have noticed that many trucks that used to run with me are now getting real tiny in the mirrors.
Don't matter though, next month I think I'm gonna move on to CRETE. Speed isn't everything. Did enjoy my 3.5 years with the Crash and Roll Stunt Team. -
Transport America 62 from 65 (Although mine is actually 61)

I love how some people are making it sound like 2-3-5mph is the end of the world and the sky is falling and their houses will go into foreclosure. While people who want to go faster are asking for proof that the money will be the same, I don't see how one can feasibly do any research that would point one way or another.
I mean, there are umpteen hundred different factors in going from point A to Point B. You can get Frank the redneck trucker who goes 85 and Pete the Peaceful 55 tree hugger...who manages to get there before Frank does. The standard equation of maximum drivable hours times maximum speed is pathetic as nobody drives 11 hours every day, and the average speed is not anywhere near 65mph of ANY trucker out there.
Anywho...Schneider is turned down to 60. However, teams are at 65. Im still at 67 because Im on a ded run and my truck just hasn't been turned down yet, lol...woohoo! Then again, I should hush because I don't want any of those 75mphers getting mad when I point out how I pass them on slight inclines.
