First call ... Command, as soon as I know where I'm headed. If they can book me, then start on the next load with them.
If Command has nothing, Mac 30th 24 hours before. If no viable loads after 3 queries, then it's onto the planners ... The planners have been real good at getting me loaded and or stacked.
Also, any issues on Swift load or if I want to deliver early, I've started calling the CSRs directly. Same thing, been very helpful and responsive.

All well and good, but how do you get the CSR's number? Doing a directed message to *CSR only works about half the time.
Since I'm whining WHY are we (the drivers) doing the support staffs job?
My DM is basically worthless and with no planners at my home terminal (and my DM is NOT allowed to plan any more) it's getting harder and harder to make any money.
And yes, I call Command every chance I get. Problem is Command doesn't have much west of I-35 (where I prefer to run) so they haven't been much help lately. -
Because swift has handcuffed and castrated them. My DM is a great guy, but all he can do is "message the planners" who usually ignore him, same with CSR. I just call planners directly, but CSR has eluded me.
Edit: forgot about command, not even sure how you get on their board. -
I had to get ahold of a csr today. I just called a random terminal and asked whoever answered to look up the csr on the load I'm dispatched on. Got the info that way.

Steve, they can still plan somewhat, just depends on the area that we are in at the time. Mine actually planned me on a load coming out of Denver and then plan me when I drop at IGH. Also are ECT at nights can plan.
Here at the Pilot in Toledo. Supposedly my trailer will not be ready until tomorrow. Another great week of miles -
Steve not quite sure on this new format ... I think I sent you a PM.

You did.

Tucumcari, NM @ the J. Made it here from Jenks, OK. Would have made it further but the knuckleheads @ Kimberly Clark turned my D&H into a live load then took 3 hours to load me. That's OK, I'll make it home tomorrow and that's all that matters.

5 and half hours on a preload at KC in GA last Friday ... They upgraded their logistics system and are all screwed up.
Going on my 5th hour now on a Command load. -
Just south of the Kentucky line, ended my shift and handed it over to her about 15 mins ago. We'll reach the final in hebron, KY and deliver asap. Then 34.
