From what I have experienced with this company is they will hire even if there isn't any work. Why would you hire more people when the drivers you have are only getting 3 loads a day? The reason is simple, they have truck sitting without owner operators losing money. Lease payments and everything required such as insurance is near $7000 a month. It's simple math folks. You won't last long with that light work load. I turned my truck in and contrary to what the other guy said about moving to where the work is, some of us have ties to the area and don't have a choice. Not destroying my financial stability for a company that can't even pay for loads n a timely manner. Make your own choices and go find out for yourself. Maybe it is better in TX or NM but remember this, oil production has slowed everywhere.

http://www.thetruckersreport.com/lease-operators-19-tips-to-avoid-a-rip-off-truck-lease/ Keep these in mind when looking at a Bridger lease and see for yourself if anything looks familiar. Draw your own conclusions.

Are you sure they are cry babies?
Based on numbers you provided. We both know it's not that steady at moment, but never the less, company jobs in oil field pay more.
Your numbers provided
(Monthly)
20,700 gross ( based on 6x2)
5,400 fuel
5,700 truck payment
3,105 15% tax(which is on low side)
1,035 maint&misc.(10%)
Leaves you with
$1,365.00 a week bring home
- Does that include any hidden fees like paying for computers in truck?
- Less head ache, more pay being in a company frame of mind in my opinion.
