It doesn't matter if your truck is falling apart and gets flagged, ticketed and put out of service at every DOT stop.

Always take care of your shoes! :D

Have a back up plan to go into another industry. Not a joke. Have a plan incase you can no longer drive. And there's a million different ways that can put you off the load permanently.

Was in a TA, the fuel nozzle popped out on it's own when tank reached full but the nozzle didn't shut off, fuel went everywhere on my pants & work shoes. Those were the only boots I had for the winter snow. I knew I couldn't drive with that fuel smell right under me as it would take days before it went away, So I went in & showed the manager what happened. She gave me a free shower & a free pair of new boots. I think she would have given me new pants but I said I already had some & threw the stained ones away. Having said that it happened another time at a TA the only thing I could get from that manage was a free wash cycle; good thing I had brought another pair of shoes then.

You're closer to the truth than you realize; read above

Absolutely, mega's don't give a crap what happens to you , If they want you of the truck they'll do it no matter where you are..Always keep $500 socked away for an emergency so you can get home if you are booted off ; don't want to be stranded far across the country from where you live. It's happened to many a driver.

I have no idea why you thought of that song but after checking it out I think you may like the video in my other thread "The next 9 minutes will change your life" which is in" the World is a joke" forum.
