Hi I am in Tampa fl looking to apply in either Jax or Greensboro for linehaul. I tried searching but does anyone know if you "have" to apply in person? I'd hate to fly somewhere if they are not interested in me. Thanks!

Go to OD website site see if they have an opening for both cities. If so you will have to email them your resume, I had to do the same here in Virginia couple weeks ago. Still waiting on response, hope that helps.

I think this whole industry should only hire in person.
Can you imagine how many idiots wouldn't get jobs because of clean clothes, bad manners failing drive tests?

They all hire based on PAPER and INSURANCE...Can you get insured? HIRED. Can you pass a background? HIRED!
They ditched the face to face interview. Which is what I think killed this business and killed the customer service and rates.

SOME Drivers have lost all sense of reality from being trapped in the truck all the time and bullied into staying out for months on out. They don't shower or keep a conversation with a monkey. More less a human.

We need to go back to the basics when applying for a job.
SHOW UP IN PERSON WITH A RESUME.
Be clean, respectful, willing to learn, no ego or chip on the shoulder and show up on time and do a professional job. These things can not be seen, heard or understood on paper. It must be face to face.

If it was up to me:
I would hire only face to face. Then drive test. Then basic mech test. Then a insurance and background check.

    OK...Off my box....
    TO answer your question....
    I don't know....

That about sums up how I got hired. Mine started with a phone call first. Then immediately after, about an hour, I was at the shop doing a PTI and roadtest. Made me feel great! That they wante to see me before all else.

Sorry OP. George left his soap box laying around and I felt like standing on it. I can't help you either. But maybe a phone call? I don't know how Dominion works.

You guys nailed it. I'll be driving to Jacksonville Tuesday. Anyone I can use as a reference out of Jacksonville? I know there was a guy I was talking to a couple years ago goes buy Memphis something. Had a silver Pete in his avatar. Thanks
