Short answer for me - not nearly enough and I really have no idea.

I thought I carried alot. Carrier said I dont need to have so much. I'm the guy buying used binders and gear off craigslits from truckers selling their stuff. I cant help myself. I see it and know I dont need it,.. but its like 10 - 25% of buying new. Its like an addiction for me when I get home.

But you definitely got me covered. Thats a lot of gear.

Since we rarely pull the same trailer 2 days in a row (except this week I am under the 4 axle flat all week), we do it this way.....

Truck carries 14 3/8" chains and 14 snap binders. We also carry 6-8 ratchet binders in the box.

The trailer carries about 18 straps in one box and on the 4 axle trailers we also have 12 5/16" chain and snap binders. We haul a lot of concrete pipe and ratchets can easily break the pipe ends. You can do it with the snap binders too but not as easy.

If we are hauling something on the 8 or 9 axle trailers then we throw on some half inch chain and binders.
