First off Id really like to know the perception the OP had of the way it USED to be?
Also Walstib--and I tried hard not to reply to this--so IF you are not joking--I'd really like to hear your perception of HOW us Old timers caused all this--and not some Smokey and the Bandit BS--because anyone who has been out here for 30years plus and has paid attention--actually know how/why the HOS etc ended up on DC radar in the first place after nobody gave it a 2d thought for over(at the time 50years)...so please enlighten us-

Anyways... I'm pretty sure the op is extremely clueless about the old days. Even as the new guy I'll admit I'm clueless, but without the hos and other regulations I can guess what it was like. And my guess?

It wasn't even half as glamorous as it seems now...
