Truck stop parking

naaaa, we had some back at truck driving school, LOL.
i really didn't have anymore trouble with them than boxes.
could be a different story at a REAL dock though.

 

you forgot the 50,000 lbs coil at the school!

 

huh? all jokes aside.does that have any effect on backing up?

 

Yeah, hard to jack it in. Too much weight and it does not cut good. Plus never handles the same way twice. Same coil different spot and it is a whole new ball game. Empty is no problem, but loaded you can roll the tire off the rim... We don't have dump valves.

 

ouch, the front set mainly?

 

Yeah. it takes about 40 acres to turn around.

ALERT: Newbie Question - What's a dump valve?

 

Some trailers can lift the front spread axle.

 

Like the tag axles on a dump or cement truck? I can imagine that the side forces on the trailer tires must be severe in a tight turn (like parking).
