Hello, I have a problem. I have missed appointment times only because the alarm clock on the Qualcomm fails to go off at the time I set. Before that, I was relying on my smart phone's alarm clock. But that has proved unreliable because when I crossed a time zone the phone's clock would not always change time zone until midnight, so often the alarm would go off one hour late than I needed.
So is there an alarm clock on the market that is absolutely reliable?
Thanks, ATW
What kind of alarm clock do you use?

I use my smartphone (iPhone) but always checked to see if it has changed time zone before setting alarm (if on the edge). But the iPhone is good about changing time right at the line, and does not wait until midnight.
Also, if it has failed to change time to reflect the zone your in, you can either turn it off and then back on or put it in airplane mode for a moment, then back to normal mode and this should force it to update it's time then.
But you can turn off "automatic time update" and it should stay put on whatever time you set. You can still get the "old fashioned" wind up travel clocks but I've found those to be questionable if left in REALLY cold environment. (The oil gets thick and they slow down) -
Clock radio plugged into inverter, always changing the time so I am in right time zone
Also set the Qualcomm to go off about 15 mins laterDreamboat Thanks this. -
There should be a setting for network time.
Every phone I've had changes time immediately with the time zone. -

I have a little digital clock that runs on one AA battery. I set the time to MY time zone...and I set the alarm to the time I want to get up. It is up to me as a driver with common sense, knowledge, and understanding of the zones....to know what time zone I am in, and set the alarm accordingly.
