US Express recruiter gave me call
$0.33 miles after 3 days orientation (paid hotel provided) then 3-4 weeks training (paid) but 0.33$ per mile is very low is not it? only after 9 months it goes to 0.40$
I think best deal would be to talk to friends and guys who have few trucks but can offer you more per mile as they know how responsible and trustworthy person you are.
and US Express also asked me to move to PA
Got first real deal but thinking to pass

.35 (Swift I believe) to .43 (Prime) seems to be about average. But I don't think they give pay raises until after the first year, or later.
-
They asked you to move? Lol really??
Balakov100, Swedish Chef and HorseShoe Thank this. -
Well they told me I should be in PA to work for them, no one forced me to move, but it was obvious that US express wants people in PA not in NJ. The recruiter girl probably has bonus for each recruited dude and she was very motivated me to say yes, she left me her personal phone # in case I will decide to go for them.

The reason you are not going to get paid much is there is no proof you won't crash their truck in the next 9 months after a year you have provided a little proof you don't suck.
Canned Spam Thanks this. -
That must be solo pay at USX. I thought they paid newbie teams pretty decent

was this the ad ? Truck Driver - $5,000 Relocation, Weekly Pay Guarantee & Home Daily! .... this is some kind of scam. They have been running this constantly for at least a few months now. Everywhere !!! In the last 5 minutes I've seen the same exact ad on CL for Salina KS, Greenville SC, Savannah GA, Greensboro NC, etc. but they want people to move to Gas City / Auburn IN. This stinks of a scam.

I don't know what van frieght is paying but I doubt I would drive it.

.30 CPM is a fair wage for a new driver. Some guys have had to prove themselves for 10+ years before they broke .40CPM with decent miles

I agree 100% in fact if your new and worried about what your making you probably will never see good money because your not even focused on what's important what you need to do as a new driver . it has taken me 5 years and a perfect record to hit .48 I did it by focusing on what needed to be accomplished the first 3 years.
