Here at the J in Phoenix. Pulled in shortly after 1 and the place is packed. What is the point now in calling some planners like we are told and now being told that they are being told not to offer us. Good old Lancaster. Well luckily when I call them on Friday I have a home time request for the 18th in El Paso so I think that they better offer some loads. There are plenty around there that are ready on a Saturday

Depending on a lot of variables I might be inclined to roll with a flat if for no other reason than to get off the shoulder and get to civilization.

I had an inside front tandem on the passenger side blow out east of San Antonio on I-10 while taking a "hot" and very late live unload to a broker in Laredo. Weight was under 10K lbs and most of that was sitting on the drives.

When it blew the center section separated leaving just the sidewalls on the rim. I elected to keep going to the Broker, got unloaded and had it replaced in the inspection lane at the terminal.

Lost an inside drive tire last winter on US-6 42 miles up in the mountains on the way to Spanish Fork UT. Was getting dark and was 10 below zero with no cell service on my phone or the truck. No #### way I was going to sit out there. I rolled all the way to I-15 and a Loves for a new tire. Stayed below 40mph to keep the vibrations to a minimum. The load was a little under 30K lbs.

I've lost several tires over my time with Swift, some I waited on for repair and others I didn't. What I don't like doing is sitting on a shoulder and risking some poor soul coming along and slamming into the back of that trailer.

Here at the hotel in Goodyear. As of today I have a new DM at IGH. A ex driver that was a L/O with Swift so he knows what it takes to make money and be successful. Never heard from El Paso again. He also knows where to avoid and not take a Cali load unless fr8 coming out or even SLC. He was talking to me about a possible new dedicated account opening up that they just got. He is going to watch it and let me know if worth it. I think that I might be seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.

Drove over Cedar Mountain in NC last night. Hwy 276, not sure if anyone's been over that but #### that was a little intimidating for my fourth day in the truck, especially at night in that #### fog. my trainer woke up about halfway up the mountain and said oh my god I had no clue it was gonna be like this, I'd have never had you drive if I'd have known it'd be like this lol. Glad I got to though really. Held steady in 3rd and took my time and had no problem.

Anyway burnt 2.5 hours on my clock and only went 30 miles. Sure am glad I'm being paid hourly for this one

Your mentor was asleep and it's your 4th day in truck? During your first 50 hours btw? Get a new mentor asap he shouldn't be sleeping your 4th day in truck.

    HousTank and mrxburrito22 Thank this.

I've been running my 11 out almost everyday so after today I'll have my 50 in. My trainer has actually been really good, asked me if I minded him taking a nap I said not at all. Other than that he's always been sitting B seat.
