Think I would rather deliver in Brooklyn than LI...one can run out a clock on the LIE and have almost nowhere to park.
-
We have two customers you can park at on Long Island. One is actually pretty quiet and private too.
The Patriot Thanks this. -
Thanks and that said I do know a spot near Farmingdale that I used to park on on an old dedicated run I used to do

Would be very interested if they had any true dedicated or local/night runs.. -
You won't get dedicated/local as a new hire but you should be able to make it out and back some days or at worst sleep in your truck 1 night. There is lots of work to do within 200 miles of Fort Recovery and still make it back for the night. Dedicated/shuttle is seniority based and they have too many local drivers as it is now.

Sent you a message.

Not much new to report, running as hard as I can, will look good on this year's W2 when I build a house next year.
Small example of how they take care of drivers, I tried to work last weekend, usually that means a 2 or 3 day run to TX. Ended up on a run from SC to IN, picked up Friday night and delivered Monday morning, thought I'd spend Sunday at the Petro in Richmond, IN. Dispatch sent me a message in Knoxville asking if I wanted a load, I asked if I could drop this load at Fort Recovery and take something home, they said sure. Ended up making it home Sunday afternoon for a short "weekend" break with a good load to start the week on Tuesday morning.
Lost track of how many miles I ran last week but it was over 3000, made around $1400.Lonesome Thanks this. -
I went through CR England school and lasted 4 months with them. Took a regular job for 6 months while my contract expired. Had offers from US Xpress, Schneider, and Cheeseman. I decided on Cheeseman. Chris is having me do an abbreviated apprentice program to start. I think I made the right choice especially since the terminal is 7 miles from my house.
-
US Xpress and Schneider don't belong in the same sentence as Cheeseman. Cheeseman is not a traditional OTR company. Work hard, do what they ask and you will be treated well and home often. You made the right choice.
