Cypress truck lines will get you home every weekend. If you choose to do OTR the company will make you money and get you home
CruisingAlong Thanks this. -
Kind of a peculiar first post. But meh,.. I'll let it go.

LOL... I know that company.. I can say that I do see their drivers get home on the weekends. As for making a lot of money I can say they will get you home on the weekends

I've talked with a few of their drivers. None seemed unhappy.
Point of my comment was more to do with the oddness of the post. Its something a recruiter or company official would post,.. than someone like you or me.

Cypress used to be a company that had old ragged equipment and paid on the lw end of the scale. I believe thy have merged with Sunbelt and their equipment looks much better, although I still see some of the old beat up trucks still running freight out there.... But like I mentioned, all I know of them now is they do get their drivers home on the weekend. I dont know what they pay.

A couple of cypress drivers park near me. Both trucks are older but pull nice trailers. One is there everyother night as if he has a dedicated run but both are parked on weekends. I think their cpm is low compared to a melton or mcelroy. Mcelroy doesn't hire out of florida, how about maverick ?
What part of florida do you live? -
I live in Brooksville area.
I'm O/O. I have a couple places between Tampa and Lakeland that usually have loads for me. Else I have no problem dead heading up to Ga or Ala to get a better paying load.
Hurat -
Im in Daytona. All I ever see out of Lakeland is the James Hardy stuff which always pays low and is heavy. I usually scroll right past those loads. There are decent loads out of central Fla once in a while but not regularly enough to count on it. So typically I DH north. You can find decent loads in Jax more often then central Fla. If I was on the west coast Id DH to Ala, that area has good outbound flatbed freight.
As for Maverick Im not sure they hire in Fl but I heard they pay pretty good. There is a You Tuber who hauls for Maverick, hes new and covers that company pretty well. Seems like hes making good money. His name is Dale Clay on You Tube -
Last time I called james hardie load of plant city fl area , I think it paid 1.10 cpm and I havent called back.
The loadboard out of west palm beach shows many similar 267 mile runs with 8ft tarp for 250.00 ..no thankyou.
When pulling into Florida, pretty much have to get a great rate coming in as its tough to find a south florida rate north of 1.43 coming out.
