a bag of sam's instant light is about 450. and lasts about 5 cookouts. don't have info on the propane.
i have always preffered charcoal (especially for a cheap grill for more even cooking.) -
all this talk about steaks and grills really makes me want a steak now. i need to hurry up and get back to the house.
-
be forewarned!! do not buy more meat than you can cook in 2-3 days if you have a thermo-electric cooler
-
thanks for the heads up on that. i was reading elsewhere on how to install another fan on a cooler so it would make it cold like a fridge. doesn't seem to complicated.

I have a micro-wave, 3.5 cubic foot fridge, electric pot for boiling water, and coffee maker on the truck. I don't care how much it would cost to eat in restuarants, I prepare my own for health reasons. I heat a lot of Lean Cuisine Asian Meals in my microwave. I have a salad that i make with ingredients from the grocery store with it. I also buy Hormel meats (beef, pork, ham) and heat them in the microwave. A few boiled red potatoes and a can of vegetables and dinner is served. My breakfast is a bowl of raisin bran with fresh fruit. Lunch is a sandwich, usually fish, or a bowl of soup from my pot. Once a week, usually Wednesday, I spoil myself with a restuarant breakfast and occasionally a supper.
I'm trying to get my diabetes under control with diet and exercise so health wise I cannot afford to be eating a lot of high calorie meals. I feel I eat good out of my truck and don't feel deprived.Jaywalker Thanks this. -
You could also connect a drier flex hose from one of the ac ducts straight to the inlet at the fan to make it coolerwalleye Thanks this.
-
i looked into that but then it would take up space in an already small cab.
-
I hear ya on the space issue but 3 inch flex hose does not take up much space if you get inventive. When I did this I was in a cabover (sometimes two of us) and yea space was a problem sometimes.
-
oh god. i couldn't imagine trying to do that in a cab over esp. with two people.
