I failed last week due to being extremely nervous, I nailed a full pti in less than 30 mins on my cousins rig, how can I keep myself calm and act as if it were me and a few classmates going over it? I think the fact that I am desperately needing this to start a career is putting a lot of pressure on me; for instance, talking about it is making me nervous. When I tested for the school I performed exceptionally well, and I was embarrassed to say the least.

Any tips on keeping your cool during your state exam??

I had same trouble. You got this remain calm. Pretend that u are explaining it to him. Talk with tester and get more comfortable with him or her. Take your time there is no rush.

The first time I tested I was a nervous wreck. The second time, since I REALLY knew what to expect, it was so much easier and I was really relaxed. I also cut way back on the caffeine. You are not the first person to have to re-test. Take some deep breaths before you start and tell yourself you got this. Good luck!

Be the intimidator, not the intimidatee. Get in his/her face a bit when talking. I don't mean being like a drill instructor yelling at a recruit, just be aggressive ,, look right in their eyes, speak loud and firm, get a little closer than you normally would when talking to someone. Think like, if anyone is gonna be scared, its gonna be them.

You still have a few hours left. Use that time wisely. Massage Parlor with a happy ending...you'll be nice and relaxed before retest.

Remember most examiners are not the enemy so don't treat them like one. Just smile and say you are nervous, but plan to do the best you can. And then....shut up. Don't speak unless you don't understand a direction. If you do make a mistake don't bring it up, stay on task of doing what you were trained to do,,chances are they won't see everything anyway. You can do it. Let's us know ,,,rootin for you !
