No it was his own truck already. That he was leasing, i didnt grind the gears by the end of my training. Only once in a while i would. That is why he was interested in me driving for him, and dont deal with fresh students anymore.

But hey its true. It will be a dumb move from me if i go team with him. Thanks for opening my eyes

Go solo and have full benefits. Several other companies offer guaranteed minimum paycheck every week and you don't have to deal with teaming and keep your benefits.

So Mr Chorizo, is Freddy speaking the truth? How much does Swift pay owner operators? Mileage pay or percentage? Mileage pay, his plan to to burn 4000-5000 miles a week. And he is offering $800/week. Do the math. Is it a good deal for a team driver?

He gets .98 a mile so after truck payments which is 680 a week plus maybe 1000 of fuel and 200 of insurance, he will be left with like 3000 forsure a week. Minus my 800$, 2200 left for him. Its a big difference for two people that do the same thing. Screw it

    $.98/mile x4000 miles=$3920-$680=$3240-$200=$3040-$300 (maintenance, tires,qualcomm,fuel card,prepass)=$2740-1600(fuel)=$1140-$840 ( your salary AFTER TAXES)=$300 for him.

$840 (your salary after taxes)/5000 miles=$.17/mile to you.

Do you see the problem now?
