What word does it rhyme with?

I doubt their lease is anything worthwhile. I've yet to see any lease that was... I do know that their new equipment is auto-shift. How disappointing. I spoke with a recruiter and was told that they are planning on converting the whole fleet over to auto over the next few years for better mpg reasons. The fact that they had 13s was a huge plus in my book. I bet they'll switch to Prostars and Cascadias with super-singles with those beautiful plastic wheel covers.
I knew the 13 speeds wouldn't last. They're also equipping the trucks with APUs which is nice, but what's the fascination with a freakin auto-shift? To me, it ain't truckin if you ain't shiftin. Just my .02$
I will be going to their orientation soon and will document it on here. -
Are you going lease purchase or company?
-
Company for now. They seem like a decent outfit. I am also considering Venture Logistics out of Indy. Home every weekend. The trucks are not as nice and they pay isn't as high though.

I have been doing flatbed with other companies for years... Want to switch to refer. Just curious how it is waiting at shipper, customer, for loads. With flatbed there is almost never a wait to get unloaded, a few hours wait at the shipper and sometimes 4 hours or more to get a load. That was with a large, chrome flatbed company back in 2008-2009.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
@ stuge....Have you considered Tribe Transport? www.tribetrans.com
Most drivers haven't heard of the company and I really don't know if it's any better than Decker.
Just another option to look at for an experienced driver. They have 6 divisions to choose from. -
orange...????

I worked with them on the lease side for about 6 months, I should've stayed. Good miles, home when you needed to be there. I was based out of the Missoula terminal. Had a great dispatcher and got to see a lot. I had runs like UT to KY, IA to WA, WA to IA, IA to OR. Very good runs. Equipment was excellent, trailers you would have problems here and there but for the most part no major headaches. Some night driving especially if you had a Tyson load. Orientation was one of the best orientations that I have been to. Very straightforward and through. They covered everything.
Steel Dragon and Chinatown Thank this. -
