My husband has been driving for in hunt for the past 3 months & every freak sec has been a nightmare! From the low miles to the ####y dispatch & not to mention 62 mph
At first we thought jb hunt would be the company we was looking for but just a wk info the company we was learned we made a mistake the on guard system is ######## if a 4wheel cuts you off & you have to break hard you get called into satfey & they sit you down & tell you that has a driver your 100 % wrong you shouldn't have been going over 37 mph ( Smh!) then they start cutting your miles the most miles we have got was 2000 a wk ( working for food ) if your not driving 8 hours a day they ##### bcos they never won't you to do a reset even if you don't go home every other wkend then when you finally want to go home it's a promble.. We got home Saturday the 15th had been out for 6 wks & asked for a few extra days to get a few thing done & basically got cussed at bcos our dispatch couldn't afford for our truck to sit but when we were sitting for 2 days waiting for a load it was ok but it's whatever looks like we ####ing lost our car & our house all bcos they lie like hell to get you in the door & for mike thanks Dbag

JB Hunt has been a joke for many years, and is the reason our founder started this site.

I'm curious though. Where is the "37 mph" thing coming from? Is that supposed to be some sort of "average" speed that's somehow deemed acceptable to the safety dept?

Yes if your going over 37 mph a 4wheeler cuts you off & you get 4 sec or less behind them the OnGuard system starts #####ing & safety says you could have avoided he 4 wheeler if you had kept you eyes moving & saw them & slowed down which is pointless to me!

Why do people even go with these mega crap companies?....except maybe as new drivers but vets should know better... Any recruiter will lie to get anyone in so never go by them.
Are most in this industry so stupid that some of us have to keep repeating the obvious?

What does a recruiter and a politician have in common? They both fail to keep their promises.

Heres how to beat the system. When you're very far away from headquarters, make sure your on guard system activates. That way they'll be forced to send you back thousands of miles so you get to meet with safety! Cha Ching $$$$$

Haha... What sucks is that there is a lot of truth in your comment.

    To your co-driver/wife/pet/imaginary friend...
" Prepare to BRACE, I'm about to brake hard as rent is due and I need to get some extra miles this week!"

The veterans doing this are most likely local guys who've decided they want to run OTR, but only the training companies will hire them.

Even someone that's been driving for years has to go through the greenhorn treatment.

I got an email from these guys offering me local, home every night, great pay...etc.
I followed up asking about local, They were telling me, "Because you are a Vet, we have many things to offer!" many things as long as I went OTR. I told them, they offered me local. He said they had nothing local at that time, but I should come talk to them about OTR and then when local comes open, I would be put on the list. AWWWW the old bait and switch. I knew then I would never work for them. I literally told them "Don't call me, I'll call you"
Still getting the emails with the offers of the world.
