There's some very experienced drivers working at Western Express because they had a wreck or tickets and were fired by their previous company. Sometimes we do what we have to do; one step at a time.

Melton just now sent me their acceptance letter so I have them. Just don't like the cameras. I'm not gonna do anything like a but its a privacy issue. I maybe young but I'm old school at heart.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
You're just not brainwashed like so many young people are these days; it's all they've known throughout public school so to them it's normal.
You can also try Jones Bros. Trucking out of Missoula, MT. They're a smaller outfit and nothing on the website about cameras. -
Do they hire out of Tennessee?
-
I remember a guy posting he was hired from North Carolina; they run 48 states. I know Halvor Lines hires from about everywhere also.
Give them both a call. -
Try Rosedale Transport, Inc.; some of these companies aren't well known because they're smaller outfits, but they do hire new CDL grads.
Can't open the website for some reason, but they have several terminals; one in Dalton, GA and another in Canada. There's a list of all the terminals on the website.Last edited: Aug 20, 2015

Curious, besides Maverick and TMC, what other companies run the OJT for Veteran so we can cont. to se our 9/11 bill while working?

Schneider has a few isolated flatbed divisons doing dedicated customers. Have you considered Schneider Bulk for tankers?

It's almost as bad as the brain washing in the industry and this website that you have to start out at any of these bottom rung companies.KenworthGuyNH Thanks this.

Yep, you're right. There's around 350,000 trucking companies in USA and many will hire new CDL grads. There's no way I can keep up with all that, so it requires some leg work and knocking on doors. All I can do is try to point out some of the better companies they may not hear about in cdl school.Sneakerfix Thanks this.
