Hi PattyJ, I figured we'd hear from you on this. How've you been? Haven't heard from you in a while, figured you got a government job.
TruckDuo Thanks this. -
Let's not assume that because there's a few rotten apples, the whole harvest went bad..
I've trained women with no problems..miss elvee, TruckDuo and 201 Thank this. -
Sorry to hear about your experiences pattyj....
There are men who do not conduct themselves in this manner and i would like to think of myself as one. As I stated earlier i would never put myself into that situation nor put someone else in it.
However, there are not enough female trainers available to effectively seperate the gendersDeeDeeKong Thanks this. -
Sexuall harassment isn't gender specific either.
-
Why not it has to do with trucking doesn't it?You tell me who should get involved to make this into law trainers training the same sex that is.There's way too many starter companies and they won't make this an issue unless forced to do it.Dreamboat Thanks this.

I tow nice to see you .I know there isn't enough female trainers but that's not the trainees problem. If companies can't take the crying pleas of the female trainees then the law should step in and do something.

Hi dca, that's true. However, sexual harassment is big news ( and should be) and you never hear of the good ones. I'm reminded when I was hauling asphalt, a gal was driving her husbands tri-axle, and a job required us to load ourselves with the loader. Well, this poor gal didn't know how to run a loader, and all the other " big men" were laughing at her. ( as she stood next to her truck with arms folded) I told her to follow me, and I would load her truck after I did mine. She was so thankful. But again, these guys didn't like a woman in the gravel pit, that was, for years, their domain.

Hi ya semi ive been good thanks for asking.

There is the "other side" to this issue.....
When I was a trainer for Swift, I did take on female students until one female (picture in your mind Granny from The Beverly Hillbillies) got assigned to my truck in Sparks. Our first load was to SLC....she drove to Winnemucca...when we got to SLC she then went inside the terminal and complained that I sexually assaulted her at the truck stop in Wendover. Problem with her "story" was we didn't stop in Wendover, and the QuallComm verified that, along with the time from departing Sparks to arriving in SLC. She was terminated on the spot!
There are females that will claim something happened for what reason(?).....oh yeah $$$$$$201 Thanks this.
