99.1 FM has traffic every 5 minutes for Baltimore and Washington. Next week the kiddies go back to school so the traffic south of DC will improve, slightly. But not in the morning when it be worse.

Its NOVA thats been screwing me. Been getting through Baltimore and DC before 2pm, headed southbound then the poop hits the prop job.

They cover to Fredericksburg, but once you are in it reports only help so much.

Left the house at 3am with load in tow up to Wilmington Delaware. Got there at 1130 sharp, left at 230pm at the Flying J in Northeast MD for the night. Head to Dominos sugar in Baltimore going to Hickory NC. The good thing about these short loads is getting consistent work on my backing. Lord knows I need it.

Better post now before we get banished to page three. Down in Emporia VA I 95 exit 11 B at Sadler Travel Plaza (Pilot). Had to stop here with 13 minutes left on my 70. This stop has so many eating options withing easy walking distance. You got 5 guys, FO SHO, the deli inside, Quiznos subs adjacent. Shoneys, Bojangles, and a Mexican restaurant across the street. Sure I left out one. This truck stop is definitely my favorite on I 95, and Kenly (NC) 95 too. I am amazed at the cleanliness of most of the truck stops (minus the urine smell in the parking lots). Gotta delivery of McDonalds cups to Garner then home to Plymouth to wrap up a 12 day trip. Deuces.

Haven't had access to my laptop or wifi much the last few weeks and just wanted to give an update. Finished orientation and the 2nd week with my trainer. Our very first load was to Farmington, NY and then had to go to Brooklyn to get our backhaul. My second day driving and I was driving in downtown Brooklyn...in rush hour! Haven't hit anything and the trainer seems pleased. He's ready to get some miles and so am I. Everything I've seen has convinced me that I have made the right choice! In Claremont for the night but heading home in a few hours to get my stuff out of storage and into a house. Once training is finished, I will be parking at the Love's in Dillon, SC, I believe.

Congrats, Mike! Thats one place I haven't been, Brooklyn. Been to Hunts Point Market in the Bronx (with TransAm). All the best. Yeah, we are in with a great company!
