I own a nice 2008 Semi truck. Business is slow how can I rent it to someone else? Where can I go? Is there a company that brokers just trucks without drivers?

I would not want to rent my truck to anyone. Big businesses hire drivers and run lots of trucks. They work on the laws of averages. If some joker tears up a truck it doesn't kill them because they have 50 other trucks making money. If you only own one truck and someone else tears it up you are in a bad spot.
I would either hustle and find more work or if that is not working I would sell it.WitchingHour and G.Anthony Thank this. -
Who has been driving the truck up to now? Lease it a carrier and drive it yourself, sell it or park it. Or find more work on your own. Do not let somebody else ruin your piece of equipment, it will not take very long.
G.Anthony Thanks this. -
Maybe rent it out as a "Tiny House" to some "Save the Earth" hippy?
mhyn, G.Anthony and lots of character Thank this. -
If it's a 600hp 300'wb 18sp W900 with a big bunk.... I'd rent it.
KAK and lots of character Thank this. -
Unless you can find someone you 100% trust to not destroy the truck it would be cheaper to let it sit. There are way too many noobs and guys that just straight up don't care. That "nice" truck you have will be a giant POS in less than 3 months. The list of guys I'd even consider allowing to just sit in my truck is extremely short. The list of those I'd let drive it is even shorter.
G.Anthony, lots of character, tommymonza and 2 others Thank this. -
If business is slow why would you think a different driver would increase business?
Oh I know....that driver might keep the passenger door closed!windsmith Thanks this. -
or, let Chris Farley live in it, down by the river????

Renting sounds easy but it isn't.
The one thing you need will be an authority.
Leasing it out takes a good lawyer to write up the contract and put in it the things like maintenance. -
Offer to let someone run it as a 1099 employee. Judging from these forums, there are enough idiots here who think it is a great idea and are sure to take you up on it.
Mudguppy Thanks this.
