Your reply is almost to the tee that I was going to post. Lease Op/Owner Op= same thing , YOUR business YOUR expenses, where do these people come from??

 

They really don't have a clue as to what the company really does either that or they thought you were a company driver

 

Can always route yourself around the toll roads and haul loads that are l8ght enough that you dont need to scale out.

 

Very interesting thread... Some of these responses have valid points and others do not. Just because some of you have never been in the predicament this gentlemen was or would've done it differently doesn't mean what transpired between this guy and this company didn't happen. From what I've read you're all pretty much calling him a liar. Where any of you part of the conversations or in attendance to hear something different?...i know some drivers lie and so do recruiters, but what's wrong with putting a little faith in a new company you're about to build a business relationship with, and expecting them to at least stand on what they said? Not all companies and recruiters are crooks and dishonest, and to Approach them all like that is ignorant.... No wonder the public, government, shippers, receivers and alot of other people think we're just a bunch of low class imbeciles. More division than unity Amongst us in our profession..... Can't stand these "holier than thou and I know it all" type so called professionals.... Give it a rest already! We live and we learn .

 

Great Statement Drvtech77 to many of them want the high pay(sometimes of the O/O) but they want the company to pay for everything that is not an O/O it is a glorified co. driver

 

look at companies he mentioned who do split pay SRT,Covenent etc..... out to tell the older drivers something
