So these Laredo to Laredo loads....are these loads on the yard shuttling over to the broker? And do you guys ever run a couple a day when freight is light and you may be stuck in Laredo a day or two waiting for a decent load to confirm?

99% of the time city to same city loads are loads at an OC or drop lot which are basically relay loads.
They usually pay $50-$60 which ain't worth the time involved.

    Laredo will be the quickest.

The only hold up will be if there's a line.

They fix trailers quick here because so many cross the border.

I never do them sometime dropping at a freight forwarder is easy breezy sometimes it turns into a couple hours wait.

There's Mexican drivers that take them back when they bring a trailer in.

Well I was thinking doing just one wouldn't be worth it. More like doing 4 or 5 on a day where freight was light and I was laying over for a day.

For example freight has been pretty light this week. I jumped on a load to Dallas that pays less than I like but I figure with no truck payment and I could back it up with 2 loads that do pay good then why the hell not and I can get home by Friday to boot.

But....normally I don't mind waiting a day for a good load so if that happens then filling the time and making $250 doesn't seem like a bad plan.

But it's probably more hassle than it's worth. My problem is I live by the slogan curiosity killed the cat.

If it was a drop and hook load I'd go 10 miles for $50 if there wasn't much else to do.
But those loads are usually live unload which means sitting in a dock for however long.

I never went into Texas so I don't know that market well. There's still endless loads here in the midwest.

That's why I was curious if anybody has done them. If they were simply hooking to a load at the OC and taking it in town to drop I will do it. I wont do anything live on either end.

It's probably at the OC and if there's no trailer next to the Delivery site it's live unload.
