At least your getting loads with reachable appointments. Last 3 loads I've ran have been load recoveries from drivers who ran out of hours or broke down.

Hurry up & wait. That's how trucking is done. Next time someone asks what you do for a living, tell them hurry up & wait.

Once they started loading it took all of 15 minutes. Too bad it took over 2 hours to get to that point. So all in all didn't get a heck of a lot of driving in. Made it to New Braunfels where I still had about 90 minutes on the 14 but probably not smart to try and get through Austin.

Tomorrow I offload in Dallas, reload in Wilmer and offload in Sealy should be enough time to do all that and get to the Houston OC

    RStewart Thanks this.

That does suck but at least you got loaded & rollin. You made the right choice to stop, I don't think you could get through Austin in that much time. Sounds like you've got a good plan.

They have many customers who require trailer pools for preloads like Ikea. The Sears account down in Stockton 25 trailers and Delano 85. You know those accounts that SNI no longer hauls for.

The feeling I get when my live unload turns into a drop and hook.
