Using McDonald's to try and make a comparison to Eagle is a really really bad idea.
First of, McDonald's won't even consider a franchisee unless they can show around $2 mil in capitol ams assets, it's one of the most expensive franchises to buy into.
So what does that franchisee get for that cool 2 mil? A ton of corporate support and training. They get a site located so they aren't in direct competition with another franchise. They scout the area to determine traffic flow and what kind of business flow to expect. Then, up goes the building.
After that comes training and setting up the new store, along with the first commissary orders and on down the line. That support team continues to be there as long as the store is open etc.
It seems with Eagle, the O/O aren't getting their support from the office staff or at least there isn't a good line of communication and knowledge answers for those drivers.
The problem with that is that Eagle is spawned by Celadon, a company that has been around a long time and knows how to book freight. Why aren't they more involved with training the Eagle office staff to get it rolling properly?fr8monkey Thanks this. -
Also Eagle Ops. I understand that you're selling brand new equipment with no credit check. Unlike a buy here pay here lot, those people investing in the company are there to run a business, not buy some beater to get them to the convenience store. If Eagle wants a good reputation and REALLY wants to make money, they'll work smarter and a bit more hands on with the people whose investment is the reason they have a job in the first place. It's a team effort.

So, I've been following this post for quite some time now, just in an attempt to gather information. Which I have been somewhat successful at, although without honestly trying to put anyone down or degrade anyone. I know there is a misnomer out there that all truck drivers are sloppy, uneducated individuals that needs to be put to rest, and if we are ever going to some of you REALLY need to proof read before you post and start using punctuation.. Jeez Louise it's hard to decipher through some of that mumbo jumbo lol.
So since I am able to read your posts and it seems as such that you work in the Office at Eagle, EagleOps I've decided to reply to you in hopes that you may be able to answer a couple questions for me. So I'll get right to it:
1. Can you tell me what Eagle does not "simplify" for drivers? Or what is not taken out of your settlement at the end of the week for you? Truck payment, insurances, fuel, maintenance escrows, etc? Or if you would be inclined and gracious enough to do so, break it down for everyone? What is and isn't "simplified" for you.
2. If I where an Eagle L/O, and say, hypothetically, I had a power container load that didn't require a trailer on my/Eagles end, and is from a broker on Eagles approved list. Would I be able accept that load?
Thanks in advance for your time, and any information you may indulge us with.

C'mon man, I don't know what could of sparked a "hmmmm" from my comments by you. Unless it was the mumbo jumbo comment and choosing to reply to EagleOps because you've been feuding with him. But don't be offended, I was mainly kidding, although some posts are hard to read, and my assumption may be wrong but I assumed he may have the information I'm looking for at the moment readily at hand. So simmer your hmmmmer haha and speak your peace if you feel the need.fr8monkey Thanks this.
