They taught you a lesson! Always fill out a logbook for your co-driver!
Used to just hand mine in every week and my dispatcher/ co-driver would sign his pages before filing them.

I redid a whole months work from day one. And he said he was going to fill his out after he checked through mine. So since then I trust no one. I'll draw the lines and leave sticky notes where you were at what time. Haven't had any issues since. But I did pay a good fine no doubt hahaMr.X Thanks this.

Yup I have had my share of memorable lessons, lol.

He might just be one of the most full of crap bosses in the world....and dumbest.

I often wondered that very question myself. I worked for an outfit a couple years back that decided to make us use log books that were literally just a page with 7 graphs on it. No room for any other info apart from my name. I just laughed and handed it back to our fleet manager.

Now would be a good time to get that other job.
If your boss has an attitude like that. You lie on your paperwork to make him a profit and now he wants to throw you under the bus.
What a fool. Your boss is.
If the company did get an audit. The Auditor would interview you as well as your boss. You could explain the circumstances why your logs don't match your real hours ran. Such as , My boss threatened me with losing my job if I did not cooperate.
He would be in a lot more trouble than anything you would see. My bet the auditor would not even concern himself with giving you a fine but would double down on your bosses revenue stream. Most likely examine a little closer to all the employees activities.
If you have left this employer, I would not change anything.
If you still work for this guy, I would not change anything but start running legal.
If you change your log sheets and he has copies of the old stuff, there is a problem.
In 6 months it won't matter.
Or you could be a real ### and call the DOT and report him. Then you would be assured of no tickets.
Whistler blower protection. Not what I would do, but it is an option.
I don't know all the details to make that decision.
I don't think this guy could report anything so bad about you to prevent you from getting another job.
. As long as your MVR and CSA is good.
You only have to explain to any potential employer what happened. You were naïve about paperwork and now lesson learned.
Good luckWillbo69 Thanks this. -
