JB HUNT DCS new pay scale hits the drivers income

Providing that this information is accurate, this practice is outright HORRIBLE, deliberately altering someone's work record to prevent them from getting another job, a form of blackballing, which, I believe, is outright ILLEGAL.

 

All the big companies try to damage employees who leave no matter what. It's not just in trucking. Gets worse and worse every year. There is a war on workers in this country, in case you haven't noticed.The best way to stop this is to become your own boss and know what freedom from tyrannical employers feels like. No worries about being laid off, fired, or missing out on raises, as the increasing profits make that possible. Most employers will freeze pay increases for years even though they are making more money and working each employee as hard as two to cut down on payroll. Some will never understand how much employers lie to employees about money, until they become their own boss in that same industry. Then all the BS is revealed.

 

Agree on the shabby treatment of workers.

Even if you own your own business you are always at someone else's mercy. The banks, the brokers, the economy, etc.

 

Yes, everybody has somebody to answer to in life, but this doesn't mean we all have to yield to everything and everyone and resign ourselves to constant abuse. Freedom requires responsibility and action. Decisions have to be made and steps made to act on those decisions. For example, bankers. I don't need no stinking bankers! Operating my life and business debt free is the fastest way to grow wealthier. The idea in this country that you must have debt to get ahead is a lie. All you will do is work half your life just to pay interest. I prefer to be a hunter. That means patiently waiting for the right shot. Hunt for deals and pay cash. Live on way less than I make. Invest in stuff that grows and educate myself on how to be a better hunter. Plus, when you are strong financially, you are stronger in spirit. Debt makes for a good compliant, fearful slave.

 

What pay cut!? Everyone got raises!!I work in Jb Hunt dcs for 3 plus years now...home every night..2 days off in row.45-55 hrs a week. Great benefits..best 401k vanguard funds admiral shares! Averaging 58-62k every year..All Around Excellent company!.. What is everyone talking bout!? I mean if you haven't ever worked for JB than how could you even comment on them....you heard this you heard that..no u read some moron who didn't cut it and post all over the internet all these mythical stories.. Every single company has a bad wrap on the internet..Seriously everyone of em! But there is plenty of guys/gals doing well with each one so what does that say?..Information is great but misinformation is pathetic..Go get work, show up with a smile n u will make money!

 

I worked for JB for 4 years. Was payed well, making just over $50,000 my last year with them.
Only complaint was not being home but 65 days that year. Bought my own truck and leased to Landstar Inway.
That was 13 years ago.

 

JB Hunt has turned into a more local dedicated company over the past 10 years. There otr truckload division is less then 10% of there business now. Heck even 10% of a 10 billion plus company is still huge. But anyone with clean 6 months or more experience will def find a good dedicated route near them or at least regional if you need more hometime. Im def not saying there anywhere near perfect company but alot of happy guys workin less makin more over in dcs. Sign on bonuses are nuts in ny $5000-7500! Be ready to run lots of nyc, long island nj pa and ct which comes easy after doin it everyday!

 

Jb hunt has mastered the art of bait & switch..

 

I drove for jb back in the day, was paid very well. Slept in my own bed at night.
It falls under how you treat your job. Every company had its "jokes". But seems as of late. Jb has been passed up by swift,cr England, us express and snieder still on that list.

You either were rejected as an employee prospect. Or didn't get what you assumed you were owed.

Most companies are what you make of it.
