If it's a live unload in Laredo you aren't releasing the trailer to anyone (you're leaving the receiver with the trailer) and therefore, you don't need an inspection. However, whenever you drop a trailer at the receiver and leave it there you have to have an inspection done at the OC

Right. Which is why I found it strangely amusing that the workflow has me going through inspection on the live unload but didn't on the drop.

But i did play it safe and took it through on the drop.

Sounds like you're doing well for your first week out. It's not until you get into your 5th week that you run into trouble like three trailers in a row that needed new tires because the last idiot didn't do a post trip or just didn't care about the next driver. Frustrating part is these were all dropped by fellow IC's.

3/4 inch bolt in the tire on this one

These brakes look very safe for sure o_O

Then of course there is the tread cap that's coming off:eek:
    IMG_20150827_144111299.jpg

Plus there is the damage from being hit or sideswiped and still reporting the trailer is in perfect condition :biggrin_2554:
    IMG_20150828_151613670.jpg

Which that leads to a bent up landing gear handle:biggrin_25517:
    IMG_20150828_151618012.jpg

And finally let's not forget the sidewall damage where you can see the cords:angry7:

Let's just say I'm happy I don't carry a gun with me in my truck because I feel like I would want to use it on a few IC's out in the middle of nowhere, lol

That's the only drawback with working with a mega carrier is the idiots that don't care.
