You didn't read my answer carefully. Mileage guarantee doesn't apply to me; as I said, I'm salary. But why bother with this. You indicated you knew where I could make more than $28/hr - help a brother out. Where can I get that?

I think the salary route makes for a more relaxed work environment. When I was a company minion, I was always stressed about getting those miles. It's nice to know if planning and dispatch don't use their resources wisely it's doesn't result in losses on the drivers end who was ready and able the whole time waiting and wanting to..... "Run hard, get paid..." I couldn't resist.

Not in trucking. But I think we disagree on what you consider being at work and I consider. Like I said what ever floats your boat. Good luck to you.

Well, when I'm sleeping or playing my guitar or eating in a restaurant or going to a movie - it doesn't feel like I'm at work. But c'mon, why so stingy - you said I could be doing better, where can I get more than $1200 for 2000 miles? Were you just blowing smoke?

It is such a relief to not chase miles anymore. I kept expecting them to work me harder but after almost a year, it has stayed more than reasonable. That's why I made the thread. It's a pretty good job and anyone can get it. (though you get $50/week less if you can't be near one of their customers). I thought some others here might want to know.

Hey, how's the LS gig goin'? I read a lot of your posts about it but not in the last couple months. I was intimidated by the maintenance challenges. It seems you had to learn a lot. Is it getting easier?

I never claimed that I said theres better companies to work for in the area. There's company that treat you better, less micro management, etc. Pay is all in the 40cpm range might be some higher idk Im not a recruiting service. All I know is if you know what's good for you stay away from K&B.

I haven't posted much. I've been treading water running dedicated for an agent. Just weathering the storm, waiting to see what the freight and rates are going to do next.

I forgot to mention, there are home daily position on this account that pay the same but they are hard to get. There are other, easy to get day jobs and they pay pretty good but not as much as this.
We are not all home-bodies. For now, I don't mind the 11 out/ 3 off schedule. No one is forcing me. Thanks for your concern though.
