To be fair..Kwswan brought up KR in post #37. He must be a loyal listener.

You would be wrong on that. I didn't bring up the RR numbers crap.Like I posted earlier I use the tires suited for my needs, these may not be the best for everyone else. I don't pull buck a mile freight either so the RR of the tires I use aren't that big of a deal. That is one of KR's things, you can haul cheap if you buy a low RR tire.
I think it is funny how anytime his name is mentioned on here all his worshippers have to run to his defense, surprised dice hasn't been here yet seeing how he is one of his biggest supporters.KR is a great salesman,i will give him credit for that, but I don't need his opinions to run my business.
I'm 44 & have been around trucking since I was 13,i made it before he was on the radio,i can definitely make it now without him

Who the #### is KR? Is he on Sirius/XM? I don't have satellite radio in my pickup, and I do my best not to get in a truck anymore, if I can help it. I get the impression Kw likes him about as much as I like Stern.

I tend to agree with you Pedigree,
KR's advises are too much one sided, he probably has some interest in pushing certain things and does not divulge the pros and cons.
take his advice with a grain of salt!
If you don't; you will make alot of mistakes because, he is selling the stuff.
I would love nothing more than to be able to say he is giving out all the great advises for truckers because he cares and has done his research. ...nope
I eventually figured out: he's in it for the money.... : (

We always ran BFG on the tractor and seemed to have good luck with them, but recently we have been running sets of Michelins and we do get better mileage and also I think a better ride.

For trailers when we had 17.5s the Conti's were always the best for wear, but now that we are all 255/70 we are Michelin on the trailer to.

Thank you ...they are very pricy but seem to be the favorite for most trucker....likely will go with Michelin...just bougth truck and have major cupping on steer...they are Chinese tires...very frustrating. They were brand new just 40k on them...I had front king pin rebored/ replaced. Re-aligned and more...tires only getting worse faster

The only position we have had any luck with Chinese tires in on the drives. And, by "luck" I mean they have worn straight and lasted over a year. I won't put them on the steers, but a couple of our brokers have. We have tried a few 11R22.5 and lots 215/75R17.5 Chinese trailer tires, and they've all been junk. They really show their lack of worth when you get them on a lot of gravel roads like the Labrador Highway, and the treads start losing chunks while the domestic tires (Goodyear, Michelin, Bridgestone) beside them are doing fine. Last year we sent 4 trucks to Labrador with a mix of trailer tires and 3 of them had flats. The next trip we took the time to make sure all the trailers had domestic tires, and they never had a problem.

I know this is a steer tire thread. Sorry for the hijack.
