Well here we are at the end of another week, summer is passing away and old man winter is on his way for a short visit.
I am going to see if my Auto Socks will fit on Bubba's tires, they are a legal replacement for chains, and can be bought online out of CO, where they were tested several years ago. Right now I don't go west, did for R/M going into southern Cal, but if I do happen to get stuck, all I do is slip these on like a sock and I got traction. Can't go no faster than 30 mph in them.

This is a great job with great people, and if you are like me and you have ran all 48, been gone up to 4 weeks at a time, ran "Outlaw", and you want a company position with benefits, and some choice of loads, this is it.
I get home once a week, and most weekends, sometimes things happen, and you may not make it to the house or you may get a short weekend, that's okay, shake it, and keep moving.
Equipment is great, love the Volvo, and we are getting some new trucks and trlrs w/ air slide tandems with polished aluminum wheels. If you live in the right area, it could be a great deal for ya.fr8monkey Thanks this. -
Go Pat's, go Huskers.

Glad to hear you're dig'n it @CompanyB
Different strokes for different folks as far as trucks go though, I prefer manual tranny---don't much care what body or engine surrounds the darn thing, but White Dog's gotta have a clutch.
P.S.- No weak ### Mercedes engine either if they still make them. LOL! -
Gotta love that downtown Chicago, bad as LA.
-
Living right there in town, why wouldn't you take a Denver or Houston load once in a while? You like Chicago that much? Or as "the new guy", are you not being offered other runs?
-
Oh I used to run those area's all the time for another carrier, at one time it seemed like Houston was my second home. They told me that I could run else where if I want, it is entirely up to me, but I do think Chicago is a big market for us, so we go there quite a bit, I'm not crazy about Chicago, but it is better than NYC.
And yes, I have been there too several times, and got lost, not good with a big truck. -
So what's your point? Trying to sell your services to a company driver?
Other people's children
bullhaulerswife Thanks this.
