I can assure you that Continental Truck tires are American made. They are manufactured in southern Illinois - Mt Vernon.
What tractor tires do you run?

I know of a place in Los Angeles that sells brand new Chinese for 240 each
-
I use Chinese on the back and American on my steers I paid 350 for some Chinese on my steer and they didn't lasted 6 months. but I took a vacation to the Caribbean's and most of the trucks had American tires, based on what they told me Chinese tires don't last long on the high heat, bad roads and heavy weights they haul

All our tri-axles chassis came with Chinese tires, after one year they were all replaced with something else, all looked like junk or were falling apart. We run a mix of local/regional, boss puts Bridgestones on every year. Usually between early Sept. and late Oct. all trucks will have new drives. Usually the sleepers get brand new tires, our used go to the daycabs that get the least use, the daycabs that get the most use also get new tires. Old tires, depending on tread depth get set aside for spares, or shuffled off to be recapped.
