Right now, I am in a rut and weighing in at 215-217 for a week or so. -

Bulletproof coffee - coffee with butter, cinnamon, coconut oil and sucralose (splenda) is a godsend to get those mornings kick-started. I love the stuff and my day is incomplete without a 20 oz cup of TS coffee complete with butter and go-juice.
For anyone who has wondered about the effects of keto-diets, I went from a 54 inch waist (wearing 3x and 4x shirts) at 367 pounds to wearing 33 inch pants in the waist and a mens size medium in shirts (currently 181 pounds). Yes, I have lost more than I currently weigh. Keto diets work, and the huge benefit for us truckers is that it is cheap to stay on a keto diet while on the road.churchboy2010 and Dreamboat Thank this. -
I really need to do some walking. I'm still stalled. I have to say that I saw my own reflection in the door when walking into Casey's the other day. I thought it was someone else. I'm looking pretty good, I no longer see a fat man there.
On a side note, now that I am looking and feeling better, I want to get my back waxed. It is really hairy. Can anyone tell me, are there any truck stops where a guy might be able to get his back waxed? -
But you have to setup your cooking arrangements in the truck. I have a fridge and portable ac/dc freezer to store the foods and recently invested in a convection oven that does virtually everything. So my food intake revolves around fresh fruit/veges, steaks/salmon bacon, eggs, cheese plus other stuff inc salted nuts for a snack. I very rarely eat canned food. I eat as well as if I was at home. You have to be motivated and driven to be as healthy as you can. No pun intended. We have been conned and misled for years by various groups, about what we should eat. SUGAR/High Fructose Corn Syrup is the real killer. Big Pharma is making a killing on meds to treat diabetes cholesterol and high blood pressure. I haven't touched that fast food/processed garbage in years so it's up to you. Anyone can do it ... .Good luck. -
Thank you. I have to say the most liberating thing is that my life is not centered around food. I eat to live, I don't live to eat now. So much of our culture revolves around buying, preparing and consuming food. Another issue that I have read about is that high carb food is very profitable for business. They can take some relatively cheap grains and corn syrup and the prepare and package it with a high profit margin. -
