Wow... Crazy! I think that drivers certainly deserve overtime, but from what I know they have never been eligible because drivers are exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Does anyone else know about this?

He's probably back sitting in Jesup GA. till his case is over. If he does win, theres trillions somewhere all us truckers can go after too, not to mention the sales people, waitresses, and others the laws don't apply to either.

This is GREAT news. A state that actually backs it's workforce instead of corporate interests. For obvious reasons trucking companies have raped it's workforce ( through bogus mileage rates of pay PC miler etc) for so long they think nothing of it. If a company has just 100 drivers and each one gives 100 miles a week free say at 36 cpm thats quite a bit over the course of a year..calculated at 49 weeks that's roughly 180k a year the company has screwed the employees out of. That's also 180k the government isn't getting paid taxes on either if you look at the big picture. For some unknown reason government agree's with trucking companies in that we should be treated like second rate citizens without the same amount of protection afforded to other occupations.
