Sitting in a truck banned parking lot, here in Laurinburg, NC. And it just occurred to me. They don't want trucks, but this is ok?
Well, alrighty then!HeWhoMustNotBeNamed, Rocks, peterbilt_2005 and 1 other person Thank this. -

Calling it day, or night, not sure, at the Hammond Petro. A nice delay with my load yesterday afternoon led to my day starting at midnight.
My last stop was maneuvering the wide, easy to navigate boulevards in NOLA in a tropical deluge. I waited a few minutes for it to let up before opening the trailer and hitting an awkward dock, then decided to just get it done. Of course 10 minutes after getting soaked docking, it let up.
Tired hungry and just fed up with it all, I decided on this place since I can do everything in one stop and it's not too much of a dump if you're careful to stare straight ahead when walking around. Even in "early" enough for a good "free" space close to food for me and the big grassy doggy toilet around the beacon for my passenger. Must've rained hard here too. The lake at the entrance was about a foot deep. Fortunately I've been here enough times to know where the pavement is.
Now for some professional-level vegging out, then maybe get dinner. -
Our FM called this morning telling me that USX wants us to get our PM done by today even though Breakdown told me yesterday I could wait till Georgia.
Drive over to Freightliner and it's being remodeled so we can't wait around and it might be done by 4pm......might. Load picks up at 10pm. Ended up getting a hotel. Paid for a hotel and a shower today.
The joys of teaming with your wife.
Had to drive on my clock so she gets her reset in. Then gotta pick it up when my 10 hour reset is done. Days like this wish I was a o/o and on paper logs. LolLast edited: Sep 10, 2015

Well guess I will be spending the night in Brookville pa pickup just down the road.
Was at some truck stop off 97 last last night around midnight get woke up to this knock. Guy goes you pay parking fee? What the heck you talking about? Need to pay $12 to park here. There's nothing saying that now get F lost before I crawl out of here and you think twice about waking a driver again!
During walk around guess he decided to unstrap my tarps rolled up on the deck. Instead of strap over them holding down they where underneath the tarps.
Guess he thought he would get that one by me. Could not pull 5th wheel always tug tight so not going pull that handle.HeWhoMustNotBeNamed, chopper103in and TruckDuo Thank this. -
Pulled into Bill's with 2 minutes left on my clock. Plenty of parking and I made sure my markers are off! Hopefully they won't be stupid, sometimes the switch doesn't cooperate and they'll stay on.
I don't need or want any guests in this truck... Except one. But she's in Canada and is working tomorrow.
I've got roughly 50 miles to my stein mart stop tomorrow, and according to the bills these two stops are very light unloads. Long as they've got rollers I'll likely be in and out in less than an hour.
I'm going inside to eat. I'm starved. I ate breakfast at 2am, and haven't eaten since. I just forget to eat some days, especially when I'm busy.
NOAA says there will likely be a hefty rain storm tonight, so anyone rolling through the Greensboro area, be careful.HeWhoMustNotBeNamed, sshewins and TruckDuo Thank this. -
If not, or for whatever reason, no harm no foul. Just stay safe!TruckDuo Thanks this.
