I am getting ready to start with Swift after being off the road over 11 years. My first year of trucking I was with Schneider. I was very naïve, like most new drivers. I think it will be easier the second time around because this time I know about the bad and ugly side as well as the good.born&raisedintheusa Thanks this. -
I took a break from looking around because for a while I assumed I'd just run produce up and down the California corridor. If I do go long haul, I'll be looking for a company that can run me in the western states and let me bring my 55-pound dog. I'm being kind of picky. The highest cents-per-mile isn't my top consideration. I'm hoping to move to northern California or Oregon, so I want to have a hub there to make that possible, too, in the future.
