Just graduated Peak technical institute in Maryville, TN! It is the absolute best school around. Anyways I have a few questions.
#1 I was prescribed lorazepam to help me sleep while I was going through a divorce. I literally took it like twice. I've never in my life done an illegal drug in my life other than drink. Will this show up on a hair folical test? Do I need to tell them?
#2 Anyone know anything about rose dale or big m transport?

You should absolutely disclose the prescription, even if they don't ask. It may well show up on a test. Having the scrip in the past should be a nonissue unless you fail to disclose.

If it were me I would be calling the doctor's office and ask them.If he says it will show up on the drug test then by all means tell the medical office as well as show them the prescribed bottle.

I would do both of what the first two people said. By the way, congrats and good luck!

Being that it is a controlled substance, definitely disclose it to the carrier that you apply for, as it most likely will show up if they give you a hair folicle test. Keep the prescription bottle with your information on it, also ask the doctor that prescribed the medicine for a letter stating if you have any work restrictions. Good luck.

Like I said I haven't taken any in months and it was only one or two or three at that time.

As long as your honest about it, don't show any signs of abusing it, and can function normally. You should be good to go.

The preferred thing would be to say nothing to anyone you are looking to go to work for. It might throw up a red flag where it isn't necessary. If your doctor tells you it won't show up.then just let it go. If you have been truthful about your limited use I see no reason to kick a sleeping dog.

Don't discuss it with your potential (or current) employer. It's none of their business and offering up info like that can only hurt you in the long run.

That being said- absolutely DO discuss it with the 3rd party testing center that will call you if anything shows up. Have your prescription info ready in case they ask.

I don't agree with the philosophy of telling your employer things like this. They're not even allowed to ask and if you do tell them they're supposed to stop you. That's for your protection. That's why the place that takes your sample will circle the number of the off site lab that will contact if there's any issues with your results. That's who you tell everything to and no one else.
