I worked for Total in 2011 from March 2011 to November 2011. I did not have a good experience. I would not recommend Total to any driver.

My hubby has been with them 2 yrs. To be honest the are not the best but not the worst. The only problem I would say is not being consistent in planning on load planners part. For example they may want you to pick a load up that was suppose to be picked up 2-3 prior before you get it. Like your current load doesn't deliver until 2pm but you can drop it early. So you on your clock to drop the load at noon. So by tracking your truck they see you are going to deliver early and they send you a pre-plan that was supposed to be picked up at 9am but you didn't get it until 11:30 am. Other than that and weekend dispatch they are ok.

Hometime-Pretty good just submit 2 weeks in advance and set your day off a day before you need it. You get 1 day for every week your out up to 4 days. If you need longer have to get approved by Terminal Manager.

Pay Solo- Starting at .38 per mile with 6 months experience. we are not on sliding scale pay.

Mileage- on average 2150 a week. of course in the winter about 1900 they also pay you for all miles empty and loaded.

Insurance- High if your a smoker if not pretty decent

Equipment- Great! We are in 2016 Peterbilt. They also have 2014-2016 Freightliners.

Taking trucks home- You have to live more than 50 mile to do so. Trailer take home is not required but encouraged if you have room for it at home.

    Hopes this helps.....
