Roy Struble trucking in Beech Creek may be worth a look. I've worked alongside some of their guys in the not so distant past. Most seemed pretty happy. I know they do dry bulk tanker work, but have no idea what all they're into or where all they go.

Not just the trucking industry. ANY industry! Look at what the steel workers went through before they organized. Guys would die when a smelter blew, boss would do minimal repairs on the smelter, send in a fresh batch to work until the repair blows, fresh guys die.

The sad fact is employers must be forced, either through legal action, union action, or government regulation, to treat their employees fairly. Otherwise, employers only see their employees as a cheap, endlessly renewable resource of profit. And any time that resource of profit becomes threatened, employers immediately seek ways to protect that resource OR seek a cheaper resource.

Don't believe me? Look at the early history of the American Federation of Labor or Brotherhood of Teamsters. Look into child labor laws, minimum wage laws, workers compensation laws and ask yourself "why were these laws needed?"
