I have decided to go with Rosedale transport out of Dalton, GA. I will be keeping a thread here and may also do a video blog on YouTube. I leave tomorrow for orientation on Wednesday and Thursday. Trainer on Sunday or Monday. It is about 3 hours from my house so I'll be driving down. I will be in their flatbed division.

Don't know anything about them except they hire new CDL grads. I found out about them from some business article I read a few months ago. Seems like they may have a connection to the carpet industry, but not sure.
If you can, stick with them at least 6 months then more opportunities will open for you. Never know, the company may be good enough to stick around.
Keep us informed on your opinions of the company.

If you decide to stay with flatbed trucking, start a backup plan. I did that throughout my career; always had a list of companies to jump to if needed and it worked. Was never unemployed my entire life. You can do this and stay qualified for any other companies such as any endorsements, TWIC,passport, etc they may require.
I started out with a horrible company and my next job was hauling Pro-Craft boats from their factory in Murfreesboro. Still kept my list updated for future use.
Check these and decide if you're interested for a possible move in the future:
    Transport National
    Lone Star Transportation
    Keim TS
    CT Transportation
    Waggoners Trucking

Will do and that's a great idea so far I like them a lot. Small company and starting off at .40cpm as a new driver plus $10 evertime I strap and another 15 if I tarp. I know that isn't much but the .40 is pretty dang good I think.

.40 is real good. Not many companies start new drivers that high.
Jim Palmer starts at .40 and Earl Henderson at .38, so you're doing real good. Many new drivers starting out at .22 or .31, etc.
