Is it important to fix a burned out headlight?

Might be "rule of thumb " but its not the law. Big difference.

 

Maybe not the law but just gives the ole DOT officer a reason to take a closer look.

 

Exactly. And the roadside is no place to argue who's right because you're always wrong.

 

The guy that didn't care about his burnt out headlight and drove away will be the same guy saying, DOT was picking on me and they're so unfair lmao

 

That's alright. Running back from Louisiana last night, came across an empty flatbed running hard.

Soon as he passed me I noted a small shower of sparks coming from his passenger side tires. That's when I saw it. He was running with a blown inner tire.

 

I got a roadside in Elko nv, for a license plate light being out... But then again I happen to get 10 inspections in one year. Dot has never liked my truck lol

Well that's a whole mother issue. I def get stopped in the bummer more. 5% all around and all black in Sacramento that's a magnet to cops. Lol
But then again my semi has 15% all around so depends if I forget to open the windows or if it's raining that varies if I get an inspection that day or not hahhah.

 

We've got a trailer on our yard that at least two weeks after I reported it, still has a blown plate light. Normally not as big a deal of you run in the daytime unless you get pulled for an inspection, but we drive at night...every mile, we are asking for it.

Next time I get that one, I'm fixing it myself even if it makes me late.

 

I also drove nights more than days personal preference and if you watch trailers a lot of them don't have working license plate lights or they are flickering lol. Idk what it is with trailers and license plate lights haha.
