    Middle east fuel is heavy sour. IE good for pretty much china only. Most developed countries need low sulphur fuels so the amount of refining to make middle east oil into anything takes a lot of work.

    That being said the world isn't supply capped it is refinery capacity capped. There hasn't been a new refinery built since the early 80s (in the US).

    We (the US) are 10 to 15 years behind in R&D and now we are PAYING for it! Fuel is just one place it shows. Supply is NOT the iusse. we wil run out sooner or later. We have to fined renewable fuel BIO-fuel?

    A little over a life time ago it would have seem silly to think that black stuff could have been good for anything more than quack medicine
    I believe in a generation or so they will be laughing at us for even using it

    My reply was in reference to the thinking that we've already reached peak oil production.


    The USA alone has more oil than some other countries added together.

    The oil shale of UT, CO and WY contain 3 times the known reserves in Saudi land.

    Alaska hasn't reached its full potential let alone peak supply. Do some research on your own. Don't just take the nay sayers at their word.

    I was listening on the XM when they broke that report... within 3 hours, the Pilot I was sitting at had raised gas prices .10
