    Yeah if you time it right there you can sneak out without paying. When the guy in the shack goes on break at night he leaves the gate up. Done it quite a few times when I was running up there regularly.

    Rocks Thanks this.

    Picked up last night from Groveport, OH and was told they didn't have enough freight for Swedesboro, NJ so I could deliver in Carlisle, PA then deadhead to Swedesboro. As soon as I get down the road dispatch calls to tell me to forget Swedesboro and hang out in Carlisle till they figure out what's next. Hoping to go back to Groveport to pick up a load going west so I can meet up with @peterbilt_2005. This is as far east as I want to go.

    @flyingmusician

    For example, most of the winter my truck ran without the air intake warmer grid the baby CAT that my GMC TopKick used. So I had to park it away from the rest of the crew when I started it because I became a smoke bomb until it heated up. We used Penske and unlike Ryder who had a mechanic in Las Cruces, the mechanic for Penske had to come from El Paso.

    He finally "Mexican engineered" a control relay using a different model. Said the one for my truck was on eternal backorder.

    I remember one night a driver got on the radio and asked what they were supposed to do if the parking attendant wasnt at the booth.

    "Is the gate open?"

    "10-4"

    "Uhhhh goodbye!"

    The last time we were at the Petro in Ontario, the guard shack person let all of us out without paying. Guess cause it was so backed up.

    Rocks and Vilhiem Thank this.

    Our company sent out a memo saying that drivers in the Colton area were being approached by people on foot who then proceeded to rob them.
