In live in Florida and currently looking to get on with Melton. I hear great things about them. I live on the west coast near tampa any body working for melton live in fla? If so how often do u get home? How are your miles? Do they let you take more than a couple of days at home? Do they have a safe place to park around here or do you take your truck home?

You'd take your truck home unless you plan on leaving it at the local Alabama terminal. Melton is one day off for every seven days on. I believe you can take up to 3 days off at any one time and any extra days off go into an account for later use.

All trucks are assigned. 10-speed or automatic.

You can probably get on with them if you're willing to run. I don't believe they hire south of I-4, although I could be wrong. Try the live chat feature on their website for up to date answers. Or wait for an actual driver on here to reply, best of luck to ya.

I was quoted .41cpm start with a $40 tarp pay.

Bump on this thread asI will finish my CDL classsoon and I am scheduled to start orientation with Melton soon after. I live in Port St. Lucie Florida. The recruiter said that home time they would try and schedule my load near home but they dont have that many Florida runs. What I failed to ask was how does home time work if the closest they can get me is say Georgia. When does my time start? When I unload or when I stop at home? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
