R.E. West will lead you on and then not get back to you about the job.

The recruiter for MI will not call you back after she has sent the paper work for your hiring to the home office.
I went through the interview and "everything was good they will get back with you about a drug test and then we'll move on from there". After that nothing not even a call back after many voice mails. I finally called the home office and they were rather rude and "don't give reasons why" they aren't hiring you.

Granted I am a newb to driving and all, but treating people like poo isn't a good thing no matter what?

I got hired. Attended a 2 day orientation unpaid. Drove my own vehicle from Va. to El Paso Tx. at my own expense to pick up a truck because I was planning to relocate to that area. I was assigned a truck that was filthy and needed repair. Called to report this and asked that repairs be made to the truck before I started my runs and was told by an irate acting employee that my employment was no longer needed. After spending hundreds of dollars on this trip I was left hanging.

That sucks. If that's how they operate then you are better off.

Big Honey (Bob West the owner) has always sucked. They'll use you up and throw you to the dogs. They love to screw you with that DAC game too! They used to run West National Lease, with the black trks/trls,till it went under.

I actually started with this company. I got my CDL through them. If its the same or similar program, I would say go for it. I signed a 6-month contract to get trained. They treated me just a little better than an indentured servant and only stayed there for 6-months and about a week. However, after that, I left them for a better company as an experienced driver and owed nothing for the training. I made about 700-800 a week after the initial training. The mileage pay was low but, it seemed like a better option to me than paying thousands for the training. Of course, when i did this, it was 1999. Just thought I'd put in my experience with them.
