Did we drop the Ocala location?

They had me pull the returns trailer out of there couple weeks ago back up to advance. it was the only thing there

 

Not that I know of but they always had 3 or 4 trailers there and they were used as a drop yard for the drivers in the area. I haven't been there in months but we don't get the newsletter anymore so I don't know what's going on anymore honestly as far as drop yards going away and new ones popping up

 

I used to do it quite a bit but have had nothing going there in about 3-4 months. Then pulled the return trailer out of there haven't been back.

Swift had that whole corner we used to drop in stacked 2 deep with ex Walmart reefers.

 

Not related to this topic, but have u tried the app truckers path, been working with it now for about 2 weeks, pretty good job aid, about trk parking how much may still be aviable, weigh stations open or closed, walmarts, and your mom and pop trk stops, not bad...any feed back on that?

 

I rely on that app daily. It's an awesome tool for drivers.

 

Yup, I am learning how to use it, pretty dam useful, I am liking it.

 

Hello @ASHLEYDRIVER2013 & @flyingmusician. I've been seeing an ad for a PTP position at Ashley out of Brandon, FL. It's on the company website, and has been posted numerous times on Craigslist & Monster just as recent as the 26th. However, the recruiter is telling me there are no open positions out of Brandon at this time. Any insight or info about this? Thx

 

I just checked for someone else yesterday on a few spots seems it's about 50/50 right now locations showing open positions or not.

He has better info about that location but I'd say if it's showing open on the company site go ahead and apply. Go ahead and get your name in the applications are good for 6 months

 

I have applied, 2 days after the original posting I saw. This is now two weeks later and after having been told they're not hiring out of Brandon, the position is being reposted. Why would they repost the position if they're not hiring?

 

I'm curious if it has to do with my work history. I have a unique work situation at the moment, that is perhaps hindering my possibilities.
